SCOTT NEYEDLI PROFESSIONAL TRIATHLETE
Scott has been a remarkable amateur triathlete since participating in the sport for fun in 2004 and now as an Elite Professional since 2007.
The Ironman - 2.4 mile open water swim; 112 mile bike; 26.2 mile marathon run
As a professional Ironman Triathlete he has achieved:
- 2008 Ironman UK Triathlon runner-up
- 2007 Ironman UK Triathlon Champion, 1st Briton to win the event in a new run course & overall course record time
- Voted 2008 Top Men's Individual Performance of the Year by UK's 220 Triathlon Magazine
- Voted 2008 runner-up in Men’s Elite Triathlete of the Year by UK's 220 Triathlon Magazine
- Voted Top Male Elite Long distance Triathlete of Year 2007 at the British Triathlon Annual Awards
- Top Briton at Ironman World Championships 2007
- Open Senior Scottish Olympic Distance Champion
- Persona Oliver ½ Iron Champion 2007
- Set a New Scottish Ironman Record at Ironman UK (8hrs 35min 52 sec Aug 07)
- Voted Runner up at the City of Aberdeen sports person of the year 2007
Since taking up the sport at 26 yrs old in 2004 as an amateur triathlete and full time engineer in the oil trade he has achieved:
- Voted 2006 Top Male Age Group Triathlete of the Year by UK's 220 Triathlon Magazine
- Bronze Medal Winner M25-29 at his first Hawaii World Ironman Championships
- Age Group M25-29 European Long Distance Triathlon Champion
- Open Senior Scottish Middle Distance Triathlon Champion
- Scottish Ironman Triathlon Record as an amateur (8hrs 57min 29 sec Ironman Switzerland June 06)
- Nominated Finalist, Sports Category at the Evening Express Aberdeen Champions Awards Dinner for 2007
- Nominated Finalist, Athlete of the year at the Aberdeen Sports Council Awards Dinner for 2006
- Nominated Finalist athlete of the year at the Aberdeen Sports Council Awards Dinner for 2005
Born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland he holds dual nationality with Great Britain & Canada and is currently a member of both the Scotland & Great Britain performance squads.
In his first professional season Scott has pushed himself into the public eye as one of the world’s top endurance athletes.
